How to reach the Department of Economics and Business

Once landed at Catania-Fontanarossa Airport, there are three main options to reach the location of the Department of Economics and Business at Corso Italia n. 55:

1)    Bus – The AMTS “Alibus” connects the airport to the city center, leaving from the first lane outside Arrivals – Terminal A. First bus leaves at 04.40, while last bus leaves at 00.30 the next day. Buses run every 25 minutes and the ticket can be purchased on board or at the AMTS ticket offices. The nearest bus stop to the department is "Corso Italia".

2)    Train/metro – The “Fontanarossa” train stop is connected to the airport by the AMTS shuttle or a pedestrian path (about 600 metres away). The shuttle leave from the first lane outside Arrivals – Terminal A. You can buy an integrated ticket (train + shuttle) at Trenitalia stations or on-line on the Trenitalia website (www.trenitalia.com) by selecting “Catania Airport Fontarossa Bus” as origin. Arrived at “Catania Centrale” train stop, outside the station you will find the M1-Giovanni XXIII metro stop. Heading towards Nesima, get off at the M1-Italia stop.

3)    Taxi - Taxis are located when you exit the Arrivals floor. The cars used for the taxi service of the City of Catania are white and are distinguishable by the word “TAXI” on the roof and an identification number displayed on the car doors, on the back and inside the car.
